some blood

Well, this darwin boy used to a psycho monster, although he is calming down to a nice young man now, he got me by surprise today, first time in ages.

he appeared to be sleeping, opened his sliding door to feed him, and bang. -he had obviously smelt the rats before i realised, first time i have ever flinched, scared be jeezeebus outta me!

Anyway, nothing special but you guys still love some blood even if it's not heaps right?

sorry im not much of a bleeder

Tasty! :-)

How big is the darwin, if I may ask?

I was half expecting to lose a bit of blood today myself, while trying to get some retained shed off the tip of my new female jungle. Haven't had much of a chance to gauge her temperament, since I only just got her... but yeah, while she wasn't happy about it (much hissing and carrying on), she didn't strike.

I've never been tagged by anything over ~3ft, so I'm interested to know how big your darwin was so I might be able to better gauge how much blood I'm likely to lose from these adults I've just acquired lol.

Sassy, what annoys me is I was too busy looking at the blood to notice your avatar (at least for about a millisecond) Did the snake grab hold and coil?

Looks like you pulled away, did you? I have done that instinctively when I have not expected it. Rips your hand open like razor blades!

Olivehydra

The first photo is the bruise after Olivehydra got tagged. I cant remember the story but hopefully he comes online and posts in this thread. I kept the pic he posted because i remembered thinking it was the nastiest bite i had ever seen. Unfortunately i can't find the other pictures so i will keep searching. Anyway one of the hand shots is Ouzo, a member on the site who's capey decided to taste her hand. She handled it well considering it looks painful.

Just for you sassy.

Simone.

Not yet

I still haven't been bitten yet but am expecting it one day.People say to get in and get it over with but I don't want to peeve me snakes off so I am just waiting.I am not worried about it though I wouldn't like to get hit in the face.Anyway my Darwin seems mega placid and our Diamond just cruises and huffs and puffs a bit but he is fine as well.Maybe I should get a jungle eh?

lol that might do the trick, Colhunter. I had one jungle a few years back that was like a machine gun. Also had a spotted that was the same. And an adult water who was worse than those put together!

Managed to avoid getting tagged by the water though--he was too predictable.
