I found a massive 2.2m approx taipan on the road last year and a nice big carpet python on my back door...the only reason we found it was cause my nephew stood on him hehehe poor fella my nephews only 5 and nearly died...then proceeded to tell my brother "dont worry dad..this snake is like maddys....he will bite but but but he cant kill you cause hes a python!" we all nearly dropped dead!!!!

I've never 'come across' anything either until yesterday - not exactly a herp but an echidna on the side of the main road through suburbia - about 1.5klm from any bush. Have no idea how he got there, but I relocated him back to the bush. How cute to see one in sububian South Sydney!! I've got pics but on the folks 'film' camera, so it'll be years befor ethe rolls finished. LOL

I found this guy at Tindal last year, he had been clipped by a car but I picked him up and took him home to see what I could do. He is a big guy but was dead before I turned in for the night.... I was quite upset.
