Spotted Pythons

Hi guys and gals,

I'm fairly new to the site and have only had my first snake for under a week. A 4 month old spotted python.

I think she is very pretty. Anyone else on here own spotted's and what's your experience with them been?

Hi, I have a blonde spotted and I have had her for 4-5months.
Shes great! Abit too much of a feeeding response though LOL, very food orientated!

But is a pleasure to own!

Do you have pictures of her or what your keeping her in???

Keeping warm on mum.

2 x 2 x 2 enclosure.

I don't know what sex it is yet but it seems to have a very placid temperament. Has had 1 feed and was a guts. It did strike at me a couple of times after placing it in bigger enclosure as was in one of those plastic carry thingys in shop but has settled down well now.

nice python trance.
You say you have only had it for under a week, I recommend you dont handle your little one for a few weeks until he/she has had 3 or so feeds. If you handle to much to soon, he/she might go off his/her tucka, and can be a bugga to get feeding again. Also i would recommend keeping the waterbowl away from the heat, keep it in the cool area.

not having a go at you or anything, just giving advice mate.

I own a male spotted, he's 15months old and iv owned him for 13months He is my favorite snake to handle, he has never even looked like bitting. His name is Gnarles.
Iv posted this picture before, but once more wont hurt

I've got a spotted that's a tad over 10 years old. Beautiful snake and only bites my wife Seriously, he is one of the best behaved snakes I have... You are going to be very happy with your snake

Nice looking snake. I have a pair. Male is a yearling and female is a hatchling. Snappy at first but with age they get become a little more relaxed. My female now eats fuzzy rats and the male eats small rats. Male will eat small quails for me also. Great snakes to keep.
