NP Alexahnder. I really wasn't planning to breed any this year, didn't think they'd be ready yet, reason why they were not cooled this year. But ya never know and we'll see what happens. Guess on the safe side I should be looking out for an incubator.

From what I have seen is that hatchies normally retail for $100-$150.

I beleve the low price of water pythons is related to the common belief that they are very aggressive, even in captivity. Those of us who keep them know that this is utter crap - they're no more snappy than any other species, at least in my experience. I would suspect that prices for this species will rise when people realise that they're not a specifically aggressive species, and are very beautiful.

Well, I was talkin to a snake expert the other, and I asked him the same question as I believe they are beatiful snakes, but he rekons a lot of people don't want them because as adults they can smell awful, not sure why didnt ask him that part. Also as Spilota Chic said people believe they are snappy. Also a lot of people find them boring looking (they obviously haven't seen them in good light). I doubt that they will become more expensive over time as a lot more beautiful and sort after snakes are becoming cheaper, but you never know.
