Hey everyone, just curious, I was talking to a vet today and was telling him about my son's stimmie and he has never heard of one but that it could be known by other names but even giving him the scientific name etc he had no idea. Basically I was wondering what other names they go by, he may possibly know them by a local name or something. And yes I have googled a heap of names but I'm sure there are others out there. thanks in advance

Large-blotched Python, some might also refer to them as a Children's Python.

Some one once told me that mac's childrens and stimmies are all the same snake just from different areas, hence differnt markings, and they split the groups up when they started coming into the pet trade to give some variety, please tell me thats not true.

They are currently recognised as 3 different species.

Sort of, it was thought that they were all one species, but over time they were proven to be 3 separate species.

More than anything I certainly would not be taking my Stimmie to a vet that has never heard of them...

he may not know them as Antaresia but may still call them Liasis or Bothrochilus.

Not the vet I take any animals to, I have to organise work exp for my course and was in there asking about it and he asked me what animals I had.
