| | Regular Member | Join Date: Jun-04 Location: victoria | | | I WAS RECENTLY UP KAKADU WHERE I STAYED WITH A ABORIGINAL FRIEND WILLIAM POCOCK HES GOT A 5 ACRE TENAMENT ON THE FOUR MILE BILLABONG HES BEEN TAGED 3 TIMES BY BROWNS AS HES 3 HOURS OUT OF THE NEAREST TOWN THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO THE FIRST TIME SO HE WENT TO SLEEP AND WOKE UP THE NEXT DAY WITH A STIFF LEG BUT SURVIVED THE LAST TIME HE GOT BITTEN HE WAS IN TOWN HE WENT TO THE HOSPITAL AND THE ONLY THING THEY COULD PUT IT DOWN TO WAS WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER HE YOUSED TO RAID BEE HIVES FOR HONEY HES BEEN STUNG THAT MANY TIMES THE DOCTOR SAID THE BEE STINGS MUST HAVE BUILT UP A NATURAL ANTI VENOM AS WHEN YOU GET STUNG THE POISON FROM THE STING NEVER LEAVES YOUR BODY. |

I have a mate that is immune to C.S gas (tear gas). When we did the chamber out of our group of 6 that went in, he was the only one breathing normal and stuff whereas the rest of us had waterfalls coming out of our eyes, mouths, noses and ears. And i can tell you this, from the pain the rest of us were in there is no way in the world he could have just been playing tough. There are some people naturally imune to different things, the odds are usually very very high but it does happen (C.S gas is about 1:1,000,000)

No person would try and claim that being immune to rattle snake venom would help them if they were bit by a death adder.... the only thing multiple bee stings is likely to do is make you allergic to the protiens in snake venom. It has been shown that over 90% of eastern brown snake bites are dry bites.

Bee strings wouldn't immunise you against snake bite unless the chemicals were very simular, which is highly unlikely. |
