RE: tame python!!

Feed her with tongs so she doesn't associate your hand with food. If they aren't feeding strikes then just handle her regularly and don't back off if she is aggressive because if she learns you are scared she will keep doing it. If she realises you don't care then whats the point of her striking?

By the way welcome to the site

RE: tame python!!

I handled my bredli for about 30mins a day and within a couple of weeks he settled down really quick. Its important not to pull away if it bites onto you though, you don't want to cause any damage to it's teeth. The bites at that age are nothing to flinch at though. And Welcome

RE: tame python!!

I don't feed mine in there inclosure, I have a seperate feeding tub that i put them in to feed. I have found that this often makes it easier to get them out because they don't assosate things going into there tanks as food. Also as the others have mentioned handling them regularly for short periods often helps. I bought a 5ft BHP that was very strikey, but 15mins 4 times a week for 3 weeks fixed that. Now he is dosile enough to let kids get him out of his enclosure.

RE: tame python!!

make sure you clean your hands before trying to hanle it too, they may have other smells on them. or when you feed the mice to it in the other tub, before you touch them rub your hands in the toilet corner of the mouse tank to stop the mice from smelling like your hands when you pick them up. (the snake may asssoiciate your smell with the mice because they have your scent on them) hopefully this helps
Chris
