I agree. Regular handling, and make sure you're feeding them enough.

My pair has never bitten me, but their feeding response is off the chart. Often times, they will strike at movement outside of their enclosures, but definitely looks to be more of a hunger/predatory strike versus a defensive one...

they can get a bit funny in there cages,once there out there alot beter but other water pythons ive seen have been very flightly and constantly try to hide in your shirt sleeve or pocket,
mine is 7.5 foot long and is great for handling,he even watches TV with me just sittin there on my lap.
but once he smashed me in the face for no reason LOL
but i cant get mad at him
you will get told this 1000 times but just keep handling them,and let them crawl and explore they seem to like that

I had 2 nt waters they were great handlers. I dont know what stock was sent down south as the nt waters seem to cop a bad rap from southerners ( or may be just qld water python breeders) . highly un deserved in my own experience. i recon the nt waters are are much more attractive looking snake any how.
