Um i would have to say that firstly the darwin that being quite hot in darwin itself that they could handle temps in the mid to high 30's with highs of low 40's with mid 20's being lowest..

Where in regards to the diamond it would depend on the area the dimond orginated (could be said for both species) . the diamond is said it is able to handle quite low temps so i would take roughly 5-10 degress off darwins suggested temps...

Now if i at all am wrong to say this please correct me as i am just a newbie and this is IMPO... also u can find help/caresheets on both species within the site

hope this helps

I keep my diamond at 29-30 right under the heat globes with the middle being around 25-26 and the cool end 23-24. I usually lower it by about 3-5 degrees at night. It would be good to have a day/night timer set up but i haven't got 2 thermostats set up yet.

You should have a hot spot/end at 32 or a bit more wouldnt hurt the cool part should be around the mid 20s. A bit warmer old cooler at the cooler end wont be a problem just make sure you turn your heating off if the room temp gets over 30.

You can buy thermostate that control a night time drop, all in one unit

IMO, Darwin = 32/33 basking spot, 24-26 cool spot. Diamond = 30 degrees basking spot, 22-24 cool spot and no night time heating. However, a rock or something similar placed underneath the basking spot is a good idea, as it will retain some warmth into the night, which the snake will utilize.
