i have handled many many coastal carpets and have learned they are a very unpredictable snake. most of them are placid. but can depend on the handler, a nervous handler is more likely to be bitten than a confident handler. but thats just my opinion.

We just got a new little girl mac (one month old) and she is soooo snappy... rears up whenever a hand goes near her no matter how slowly you go...

compared to our first mac she is the devil lol... its like we have heven and hell hehe... our first has not bitten us once (only had him a short time though.. but he is very placid)

Any suggestions for the young ones to not be so bitey? My partner is still handling her even after being bit... but he is a bit nervous about it.. lol.. its kinda cute (off the record i wont go near the new one )

aggression is a trait often passed down in their genes, any type of python can be aggressive. If you want a quite snake, check out the parents.
