The Eyes have it

Now and then I like to look at my Black Headed Pythons eyes. You need full light as their iris is so dark, but when you do, you can see the narrow slit that is so obvious in other species.
I've only done this a couple of times, but today I noticed something I never have before in the whole 18 months I've had them. I was playing with my female, and her head was was on a steep angle looking up, yet her pupil was still vertical. I made her look down and her iris still remained vertical. I used to like watching her look around, but I found it amazing that she was twisting her eye as well. I reminded me of a spirit level.
Not really big news, but I thought I'd share it with you guys.

That's really cool Chewy.

I checked one of my Olives and there seems to be a slight movement but nothing like the way you describe it. I know that all my snakes have some eye movement but it's fairly limited. Now I want BHP's even more.

I can't say i've looked to closely at my BHPs eyes, I reckon they have the most lifeless evil looking eyes of any snake, gotta love em
