now thats gotta be the first real albino aussie ive seen... none of this yellow/white..

excellent work, sure is a good looking snake.

stupid question maybe, do you give them less UV light?

i had an albino rat and he didn't like the too much light because it burnt him

Snakes don't need UV anyway as the vast majority are mainly nocturnal.

If you use UV lights with snakes you are really just throwing money away, they have a short effective life and offer no real benefit for what are primarily nocturnal animals.

thanks for taking the time to explain that to a total newbie!

i guess it is a bit of a petshop ploy. it does find it's way into a lot of documentation about keeping pythons unfortunately.

Hey boa While I agree with your theory on them not "needing" uv, in Jungles in particular, I find it helps bring the yellow out a lot brighter. I have found this by testing it on two different jungles one with and one without and have found that the one under the uv has brighter yellow, whereas originally it was the same as the other, this is just my observation on the matter
