Caught a 20.5 pound red remperor last time i visted the spot im off to tomorrow. Any reds over 25 pounds i let go as they are the breeding stock and not quite as sweet to eat.
Gotta love pulling big reds up out of 50 m of water, awsome fun. |

| | Seller | | | | I caught some Red Throat Emperor last time I was at Lord Howe Island game fishing, they are a beautiful table fish, not to mention the 50k+ fin and monstor greenback kingies!!!
You guys are soo lucky, I would move up there in a heartbeat, but I just can't convince a few of the Family members...as it stands warm weather and good fishing and spearing doesn't quite cut it as a reason to uproot and move...oh well...looks like I'll have to rig up with the heavy gear (6lb B/S) for the winter game fish.....black bream...lol
OH BTW, awesome animals some look sort of granite like!!! nice... |

| | Regular Member | | | | | this question probably wont have adefinite answer but how many years and different pairings go into getting a "new line" going? Im assuming that you really have to prove that the trait is heritable first and then refine it to what you are trying to achieve......
i think they are a great looking snake but i dont think you can really appreciate any animal fully from a pic as they always look better in the flesh.
Cheers,
Dave |

Yes i agree 100%, like most snakes they look much better in the flesh than they do in any pic. |

Trueblue,
Do you breed Hypo to Hypo? Or Hypo to normal?
What percentage of the clutch come out Hypo?
