uluru!!

HEY everyone i am heading off for a holiday to uluru area and as i own a couple of lizards and snakes i no there is alot there and was wondering what pythons i might look out for and elapids as i will stay along way away from the elapids but will try and get some pics of lizards and pythons

Can anybody tell my what lizards and pythons or elapids i should keep a eye for in that area so i can some great pics and will post them soon as i get back also im not going to touch or pick up any of the reptiles but let them be, and take photos at a comfortable distance and i have a great brand new camera with a big lens for the long shots as iv'e heard that moniters seem to stay along way away.

cheers

Ive been all over the northern territory I moved to darwin when I was six and im 29 now so not a good time to be going now , the dry season would be your best bet to see alot more then what you would now... But good luck let us know how you liked it there it's really beautiful at sunset...
Plus I recently drove from darwin to QLD and we didnt see anything along the way expcept for a shingle back and alot of dead kangaroo's lol

I lived and worked at the ayers rock resort for 4 months back in 2003.... june - november....

the most common things i saw were thorny devils! they were everywhere! but then i was out in the back dirt roads alot with work.... would see them nearly daily tho!

I also stumbled across a sand goanna once (V.gouldii)...
and a juvenille Mulga snake once (P.australis)

also scorpions on a daily basis (check your bed before you go to sleep at night! im serious!) and dingoes a few times a week, mainly at night.... there was a pair of dingos that used to sleep on a friends doorstep up there! that was awesome!
Top place! Would go back up there in a flash!

Wet season ending I didn't think they had a wet season being it's in the middle of the desert. I think you'll probably see mulgas, browns, womas, stimpsons, centralian blue-tongues, sand goannas, thorny devils, central netted dragons and a few more I just can't think of. I've seen all of these since living in Alice, some of them very close to town and some of them just outside of town. Pics please when you see them
