hi everyone.
im trying to sell my carpet python with its enclosure. The enclosure is 2H x 1.2D x 1W and the carpet is about 2.2 metres. its not snappy and has decent markings.
someone has offered me $250 for both the enclosure and the carpet. which im pretty sure is a very low price.
i was just wondering what price i might get for it.
any advice would be great.

Well is the enclosure in feet or metres?
If it was in feet then i think thats a good price for them both. Considering the coastals that i have bought have been only 200 each and i have bought some that have been 6ft+ in length.
All up you could go a little bit more if you wanted to but i think thats a good sale price IMO.
HTH

well i would say around the $500 mark. but you have to realise that some people wont want the enclosure, they may already have there own. so if u have trouble selling them together i would sell the snake seperate then the enclosure.

How big is the snake? Because if it's at breeding age you'd be able to get more. Do you know the snakes gender?

Well if you take it to the vet, and get it sexed and it's female and at breeding age, then Yes it would increase the price of what the snake is worth.
Have you got pictures of the snake?

unfortunately i dont have images of it. my computer, with digital camera connected, got done over in a power surge.
just an estimated price would be great though.
i bought it for $250 and its grown at least 2 foot since ive bought it, which was 7 months agio.

I'd say depending on it's markings and temperment between $250 - $350 I'm not sure though, as I don't really know the prices on Costals.. If you advertise it.. You'll need pictures and just start the price up higher, see if anyone takes it, if not, drop it down some etc.

Hey Motman, as mentioned it is hard to give a pricing for you as things such as temprement, Size, Colouration, Markings and sex of the snake all are factors in pricing. Is there anyway you could get pic of it so we could give you a better estimate? I say estimate as it also comes down to what you are prepared to sell it for and what the buyer is willing to pay.
It isn't the snkae in your avatar is it?

as i said before.
i cant get images of it. the avatar image is of it
it doesnt have the best markings.
but its temprement is beautiful. the only thing it has ever struck at is a rat.
