have seen sort of similar one i think bigguy has one that has nearly lost all its black pigment. dont quote me on that it is bob's i have a bad memory so i think its his. next time he is on ask him for a photo of it. bhp's are my fav reptile and would love to get some black and white ones but NO-ONE breeds them.

would you like one like this or would you like one with strong defined marking? i would prefer strong banded marking myself.

It looks like just a standard eastern bhp but the banding is hypomelanistic.
It looks unusual thats for sure, Id own it because it is unusual, but its not stunning.
Its actually a good indication of the patterns and colouring of bhp in general - see behind the head the black patchings, I didnt realize these are different markings - obviously extras from the head - rather than darker banding. You can see the banding underneath still has the pinkish hue.

Strong defined markings is a trait of hatchys, most colour like this as they age.
Westerns can have stronger markings but even they get dirty as they age.
Nice Pic, Neil

Ricko,
Are you talking about the photo that Browns found in a gallery on here of the albino looking BHP?
If you are, yes, Impressive looking animal!

Yes, Good observations Ad.

Has anyone seen a reduced black BHP?, with the lower jaw back pretty much missing the black, again unusual, but more usual than this one appears to be.

Bigguy, that is one unusual bhp allright, is she losing more blackas she ages? the last pics Ive seen her head hadnt started whitening. Is it similar to the syndrome Micheal Jackson claims he has?
Have you bred her at all? Any any traits in hatchies if you have?
Cheers
ad.
Neil, I think womas4me had some w/c bhp they found like that, I dont know if he has any pics but Id like to see them!

Wouldn't a black and white bhp be something? Imagine the breedings you could do with the animal with say a Territory Bhp with the contrast between markings and colouring!

Ricko,

I have breed her now 4 different times. I have only held onto 1 of her female hatchlings. She is now an adult and ready to breed herself. Allthough she hasnt carried her mothers trait, she is still my lightest coloured BHP and has a yellowish background like her mums

Bigguy,
Amazing snake you have there.
Could you show us a photo of her daughter?
What would you call the mother? Morph wise?

Neil
