| | Regular Member | | | | | have seen sort of similar one i think bigguy has one that has nearly lost all its black pigment. dont quote me on that it is bob's i have a bad memory so i think its his. next time he is on ask him for a photo of it. bhp's are my fav reptile and would love to get some black and white ones but NO-ONE breeds them.

It looks unusual thats for sure, Id own it because it is unusual, but its not stunning.
Its actually a good indication of the patterns and colouring of bhp in general - see behind the head the black patchings, I didnt realize these are different markings - obviously extras from the head - rather than darker banding. You can see the banding underneath still has the pinkish hue.
Strong defined markings is a trait of hatchys, most colour like this as they age.
Westerns can have stronger markings but even they get dirty as they age.
Nice Pic, Neil |

Ricko, heres the BHP that you are refering to. I just snapped these shots. As you can see mine is a little bit more colourful than the specimen from the USA |

Are you talking about the photo that Browns found in a gallery on here of the albino looking BHP?
If you are, yes, Impressive looking animal!
Yes, Good observations Ad.
Has anyone seen a reduced black BHP?, with the lower jaw back pretty much missing the black, again unusual, but more usual than this one appears to be. |

Have you bred her at all? Any any traits in hatchies if you have?
Cheers
ad.
Neil, I think womas4me had some w/c bhp they found like that, I dont know if he has any pics but Id like to see them! |

| | | | Wouldn't a black and white bhp be something? Imagine the breedings you could do with the animal with say a Territory Bhp with the contrast between markings and colouring!

I have breed her now 4 different times. I have only held onto 1 of her female hatchlings. She is now an adult and ready to breed herself. Allthough she hasnt carried her mothers trait, she is still my lightest coloured BHP and has a yellowish background like her mums |

Amazing snake you have there.
Could you show us a photo of her daughter?
What would you call the mother? Morph wise?
