Well, well, well... I've been doing a little bit of reading here & there on Mr.Hoser and it seems he is no stranger to issuing defamatory comments himself. He is an avid police coruption whistleblower, who seems to love treading on toes - I'd imagine very dangerous pastime in todays climate! I haven't read the whole story on this (and will) but apparently he gets up just about everyones nose- including Steve Price.

I had to post this snippet off Crikey.com - very entertaining!

LEGAL THREAT FROM RAYMOND HOSER
The irony of all my apologies to Price is that they usually attracted a defamation threat from Raymond Hoser, who Price never chose to sue even though it was his offending press release we published.
This is an example of one of the many Raymond Hoser threats:
"Dear Stephen - you deliberately chopped up the transcript I sent you in good faith - and removed the correcting material. You seriously defamed me and have been doing so for a while - and did so again in your letters page.
This adversely affects me both in terms of feelings and also in terms of potential book sales - dollars.
If I have time and money I could sue you for all you have, but my lawyer told me not to (yet at least) as 3AW will probably get all you have anyway, due to your apparent incompetence in the matter (even though I'd rather see you get up than lose).
I must and will reserve all rights to defend my good name. Please:
1/ Restore my subscription.
2/ Publicly apologise to your lists for your continual false allegations against me and
3/ Don't defame me again.

Gee, I think I've heard a few of these statements before. The bit about chopping things up & removing the correcting material sounds an awful lot like kama, and it's all so apparent now, that all it's ever been about is the $$dollars$$. But, at the end of the day the only question I'd like answered is 'why?'

the reason he does these procedures is so he does not have to fork out the DOLLARS in public liability insurance to show venomous reptiles. Now i dont know how anyone can defend handing a 8-12yr old kid a red belly or a tiger snake to crawl over there arms and around there necks, there is just no possible way that it is ok just coz its a venomoid, kids are very impressionable (dont know how to spell) and they may think oh i will try this next time they see a tiger snake. He did not stress at any lengths that these animals in the wild are dangerous.
