Venomous Threat Display

Just in between cleaning, took a few shots (ok I admit it, I took about 80 shots, and this is the best I can do - apologies in advance lol)

Cheers,
Austy.

Hi Tan,

Sorry, I should have put species names. The first snake is an Eastern Brown Snake, Pseudonaja textillis, Bathurst locale. The second snake is an Inland Taipan, Oxyuranus microlepidotus.

Cheers,
Austy.

Thanks guys, not as good with the vens but love looking at the pics. Very impressive, are they really jittery and display like that often for you? Or just when you make em pose for the camera?

The snake pictured is not the one who prolapsed. But gladly, the one that did is doing well.

Cheers,
Austy.

Good to hear. Gotta admit, I wouldn't be too keen on pushing a prolapse back in on a taipan.

The brown display looks impressive.

Personally I think anyone who owns those species must have very big b*lls. I'll stick to blue tongue lizards!
