True, a girlfriend of mine is in final year Vet, but has a SERIOUS snake phobia - like she will pass out etc if people talk about them...

I told her she shouldn't be doing vet - what if someone brings in an injured snake? She has to be able to help it!!!!! I'm hoping she will play with our new tiny baby one, maybe help her get over the fear?

They rescue animals when they can, and Dr Green even got out of bed in the middle of the night (he gives his home number out!) to help try and save one of our dog's new puppies (didn't manage to but even gave the tiny thing mouth-to-mouth)...

He is a great vet, I really recommend him!
Is that Jim Greenwood??

I took a carpet to his clinic and saw one of his partners and was happy with the service. The snake did not like it and it took her about 6 months after I finished the daily antibiotic injections for her to become friends with me again. The snake is still doing well a few years down the track though some of the symptoms persist in a very minor form.

Ahh yes sorry Greenwood lol! Yeah I think he (and probably his other vets) are great because they simply love all animals - which is how I think all vets should be!

I'm doing vet and there are a fair few with phobias of snakes and lizards. There are a few who are scared of birds.
Then there are a few that hate cats

You gotta remember just because they are doing vet doesnt mean they like all animals. There are horsey people, dog or cat people, bird people, bunny people, reptile people. You just have to find the right vet for the right job.

Tho most vets woudn't kill an animal because they have a phobia of them.
