i have been looking at it earlier this week some nice snakes in there
i have been looking throuugh the old posts and found a little info
but that has made me think of another question
if womas can breed at 18 months and there are a few pairs around now from the sound of things
why are they still so dear ?
is it the same old answer of supply and demand

Which State are you in?
Some states including NSW put womas in a Cat 2 or equivilant, meaning that you might only have a choice of the BHP's. Check with your states NPWS regs etc.
Aspidites are great pythons to work with.
Not everyone breeds womas at 18mths, most wait until they are 2 and a half years +, but I think it mostly comes down to supply and demand, you can pick up male womas pretty cheaply.
Bit of advice for you though, shop around alot, not all womas and bhp's are created equal if you know what I mean, like most species, it's the people with the best looking animals(Parents) that tend to be able to sell the offspring faster, always try to acquire the best looking animals you can, not just buy because they are cheap.
Good luck with your search.

i live in vic so as far as i know its only a matter of paying the extra money for the advanced lic.
do you know of any one in vic who breeds good looking womas orl ight cololured bhp
and i agree with what you say about not buying just because of a cheap price , but dearer does not always mean better . some people just want to rip you off |

It might be worth you importing from outside VIC if you can't find what your looking for.
Best of luck.

Sometimes the best parents don't neccesarrily throw the best offspring as opposed to others plus it depends on personal taste with light to dark phases etc and ordinary animals can throw nice ones but i agree i would pick the best coloured animals suited to my taste which with womas are the blonde phase not so much bhp looking.Ulurus seem to have the more prominant banding as well as WA animals.

True that some people are selling them cheaper but the main players are holding their price. Good Womas are still roughly a 2 grand animal and BHP's around half that.
