Water Python, full length?

Hey, I'm getting a 4 month old water this week and I was just curious to find out how long they usually take to grow to full length? THanks.

?

Average is about a foot a year depending on how you feed it.

Surely thats not correct - I have never kept Waters, however find it very hard to believe that a 2yr old Water would be a mere 2ft long or a 3yr old only 3ft long...

Water Pythons are among the fastest growers of all Australian snakes. They can get to 6' within 12 months of age, and typically would be at least 100cm. They'll grow much more than 30cm in their first year unless you really underfeed them. There isn't really a 'full size' as snakes never stop growing, but most of the growth is done in the first two or three years, at which time they're usually about 6-7' long.

Pretty fast growing - I got mine in December and she's grown heaps already - have to agree that they grow pretty quickly
