Water Python Question

Just setting up my enclosure for the Water Python I'm picking up tomorrow, and was wondering what is the ideal temperature range? Also how do you guys set up your L. fuscus enclosures. Thanks.

Yep. Most well fed captives get to 7-8 feet. 10ft is really huge for a water.

I keep mine much like you'd keep a tropical carpet. Simple works well.

Yeh, give them decent humidity too as with all species from the top end.

Water pythons aren't just from the top end, some of their range is actually pretty dry. It's possibly important to give them low humidity in winter, as much of their range is exceptionally dry for much of the year.

The don't need high humidity, but look a lot better with it.

Exactly what I mean, they slough a lot easier too.

I've never had a problem with mine sloughing and for much of the year they have very low humidity. Perhaps mine are an exception, but my waters seem to slough well at lower humidity than my carpets will.

My waters always had crappy sloughs if the humidity wasn't right. Always had to spray extra water in the enclosure for them at slough time even though humidity seemed ok. Just MO
