G'day Ace,
Nice choice! I bought a trio of QLD water pythons last year and they are champion little snakes. I suggest buying some from Sdaji.
1 - Adults average around 2 metres, however the odd freak of 2.7+ metres occurs.
2 - They do well in standard 4 x 2 x 2 enclosures.
3 - I provide a 33 degree warm end, with the cool either at ambient for the animals housed outside of the snake room, or 25 for the ones housed inside it.
4 - They respond well to power feeding, with animals attaining adult lengths in under 12 months. This isn't everyones way of doing things, so allow 24-36 months. Our yearlings are about 75cm.
5 - I've never attempted but if Sdaji could do it, an oil drinking monkey could, too.

For my fully grown guy (or girl, don't remember) I am aiming for a 6x3x2 but I don't think they need that much room.

I have quarantined adults in underbed storers measuring 80cm long, 40cm wide and 15cm tall. They did really well in them.

Sharpy,
Have you got any photos of your big old carpet pythons? Do you remember having them out at Lakeside 15 odd years ago, across the track from the tower?
