Water pythons have landed

I got my new pair of Water Pythons this morning. They are the pair I picked up from the SnakesNT sale. They are about 2 years old in good condition. With freight they worked out to $150 each which is a great price.
They both seem reasonably placid and easy to handle (Unlike my evil female). If they are wild-caught (as people suggested) then they are remarkably well behaved. No pics today as it is raining, maybe some tomorrow.

Yeah..$50 freight.(" and that's cutting my own throat") It didn't sit too well now that I know it costs a lot less if you have an account. I plan on setting up an account as soon as I get my ABN, then next time I can just say put it on my account.

RE: Water pythons have landed

Greebo, I purchased a pair of Centralian Carpets. I thought they would have to be captive bred as they come from Alice and Ben lived at Darwin. But I now think I may be wrong.

I picked them up yesterday and when I went to set them up they went crazy. Both are hissing like steam engines, and they are the first ever Bredl's that I have seen the try to bite without hesitation. Even in the cage, as you walk past, bang on the glass. As for their condition, they are long and very lean, just as you would expect a wild Bredl's to be like. But they were cheap

RE: Water pythons have landed

According to the website ATM, there is an Xmas sale all reptiles are upto 30% off and frieght is extra for sale items.

But this 30% off worries me, does this mean that they are 30% shorter ?

RE: Re: RE: Water pythons have landed

When we got our Carpet we looked at a few snakes from SnakesNT. We thought they looked underfeed and they were not real friendly. we got Monty from Top End Reptiles. They lady was great and told us every thing we needed to know. She also gave us an information sheet that had the info on it aswell. I am very happy with him. He has got out of his nippy stage and is now just a little sook that likes to curl up in your hair and go to sleep. I guess that is part of the benift of buying locally.
