|  | Regular Member | Join Date: Jun-07 Location: Sydney Gender: | | | | yeh you dont need any light for a hatchy so just go heat mat.. my spotty is 1 year now and i only just moved him into an enclosure with only a heat lamp.. they dont need UV lights as they are a nocturnal species..

If you're not going to use a heatmat or ceramic heat emitter i would recommend you use a purple night light( you may need 2) for your heat source then you need to provide the snake with light such as a flouro only to indicate the day cycle. This will need to be on a timer say on at 7am and of at 7 pm for example. |
