Not an impossible price. You would certainly want to see those pics and the animals first though. There aren't too many nice 'real' blues offered at random. They tend to be promised well through a couple of hands.

Grain of salt.

Thanks Wrasse, any idea on how hard they are to breed and what price hatchies go for?

No more difficult to breed than any other snakes. Eggs take longer to hatch and incubation requirements are very different. Hatchlings are extremely delicate, small, fast and can be tricky to get feeding on rodents. Normal phase hatchlings sell for anywhere from $500ish upwards and prices on unusual colour phases would be decided by supply & demand.

i used to breed blue common trees, and either gave them away or sold them for 100 bucks each feeding on pinkies. Gee havnt times changed in the last 5-10 years.
Got rid of them all in the end thou as they are a nightmare to keep, all they do is convert food to poo almaost constantly. Unlike pythons that, imo, can be harmed if feed to often, common trees have a very high metabolism and to breed them regulary they they need to be feed regulary which makes them poo more than regulary, a number of times a day some times.
They will even feed a few days before laying eggs. Converters thats all they are.

TrueBlue, you have to admit though, they have the most wonderful big deep eyes that you just fall into as they watch you while you clean up after them...

If they are what he says they are, then thats a very good price IMO. Would want to at least see photos first though.
