Exclamation What elapids can we keep in QLD?

I always thought you could keep any reptiles that arnt endangered(least concern) except for restrcited reptiles and few listed animals that you cant keep like Crocs and sea turtles.

I have had someone tell me that the only 'recreational' venomous snakes you can leagally keep in QLD are brown tree snakes and the only elapids than can be kept are the 'deadlies' listed as restricted reptiles. Im really confused and didnt want to make things more confusing by calling QPWS.

Is this true? if so where is a list of what you can and cant keep?

They have a list of elapid species that are restricted, there are the dangerously venomous species.

A good number of the smaller or harmless species arent on this list, things like Curl Snaks, and whip snakes arent mention on the restricted list.

not sure about a rec licence but on a specialist licence you can keep anything as long as its legally aquired.
