Where can I find out what sort of snake it might have been? Like a list of photos?
He got a fairly good look at it because he slowed down to let it cross the road. |

But you will find it hard identifying it because you didn't see it yourself. Take a friend and go walk around your property. Thats the best way to find what lives there. I also recommend a book called "A complete Guide to Reptiles of Australia". Great dictionary of our native reptiles & where they are found.
BTW - if you go wandering, don't forget to carry first aid gear with you.
