which snake was it?

Peter Costello was on the TV this morning and he had a large python around his neck. Does anyone know what type of python it was? It looked awesome.
Thx

Was it an Australian snake or is it some snake from overseas? If you think it was a hybrid, what would it be from do you think?

It looked very much like an (exotic) Boa Constrictor to me.

It was a good size but not big enough to make a meal out of Costello... even if it was big enough it would probably have spat him out in disgust.

Saw a pic on the web tonight. Its a Burmese Python allright from the ARP. The keeper with it is Craig Adams, the assistant manager at the park. What a pitty it didn't squeeze tighter while it was around Costello's neck. Just goes to show even snakes have taste.

It looked like a Burmese to me, Maybe a reticulated Python. We didn't see it for long enough.
