Who uses globes with Childreni?

Hey all, I'll try to keep this thread simple (not like my last one)

I am wondering who uses a globe to heat a childreni enclosure?

Or who uses only a heatmat? or both?

I am building a new enclosure for my young childreni Sid and want to get some ideas as to the best setup for them.

He is currently in a clickclack with a heatmat.

Thankyou in advance to all who offer their opinions :-)

RE: Who uses globes with Childreni?

hi mertle

i had my childreni in an enclosure and i decided to put them back in click clacks, with a heatmat underneath and lights above, the heat mat alone wasnt producing enough heat for them, so the click clacks are in an enclosure with lights on a thermostat

I have just finished setting up my enclosure and after moving it to the coldest part of the house I found that a heat rope in the floor and a 75w heat globe provided me with the most stable temps

But the size of the globe would be relative to the size of the enclosure

I also found that with the globe it helped to maintain a steady humidity level as well

Mines too small for a full enclosure, so is in a mini-terrarium with a heat cord bottom and globe.
