Why my stimpson make so much noise from his nouse?

I need an advise for my stimpson. He is an adult and he's been making noise sound constantly from his nouse since a week ago. It sound like when we have our nouse bloke, its funny sound (squeeking noise).

Is it normal? Or is it sound of illness. He appear normal tho and still eating as usual. I am only new in keeping Stimpson. Any advise will be helpfull.

How long has he been doing it? Could be the start of a respiratory infection. What temperature do you have him at?

He has been doing it for the past few days. The sound is not constant, and is a squeeking sound, almost as if he is talking or calling out.
The temp is usually about about 29 at the basking spot, the cool spot is usually 24 and about 21 at night

Sounds like a resp. disease...go to a vet and have it checked out..and make sure the temps are nice and warm for night time I would keep him/her a bit warmer let's say 27

Sounds fair, has he shed recently, perhaps a piece of loose skin up his nouse? I'd knock the hot spot up a degree or two and keep a close eye on him.

He is budding his head against rough surfaces for the past few days. He has not shed for about 1 month now. I have not had to use a reptile vet in melbourne yet, and recommendations?

I meant to say rubbing his nose.

If it is loose skin in his nose, how to remove it, or if it is resp disease, will it settle down or is a vet nesessary?

mmm rubbing nose I think africanciclidau might be right, old skin.....

I also notice that he opens his mouth very wide alot tonight, as if to yawn or to get more air in or out.

Thanks for the advise insectovor & africanciclidau, The only rept vet that I can find in melb is for far away from here that I can only go on the weekend, so I will keep my eye on him until then.

Knock those temps up a bit in the meantime. What part of Melbourne are you in ?

I am in Clifton Hill, [inner north]. I have increased the temp, and I will be moving him to a new enclosure on the weekend.

Hi, i would definately up the temps anyway. Stimsons PBT is about 31 deg if i remember right.
Also, what sustrate are you using. I had some snakes sneezing a while back due to dusty substrate
