I absolutely LOVE my new Woma. He is such a mush. He is so sweet. I can touch his head and he is slow moving and just kinda hangs around. I brought him outside today and he was posing like a Cobra..it was so cute.
Hes 6. I was wondering if they all have this sweet personality?
I named him Ozaka but I renamed him Lenny from "Mice and Men."
So everyone that owns an adult, hows thier temperment??
Thanks

No, like dogs, cats, people, cockatoos, roosters, tigers, bearded dragons etc you can get good ones and you can get bad ones. Although our male woma doesn't really latch on because he is aggressive, he just thinks we are lunch. Will need to get some pics when I get home just to prove my point. On average though, I think womas are one of the better snakes to have around. Easy to keep, easy to breed.

I have two pairs of youngens, one pair from Paul4 and the other pair from Shane Scarff. Both pairs are fantastic to look at and great perosnalities. I also have an adult pair. The female was rather thin when i got her and her in April last year. She was very plaicd and very sweet, the day after she laid her first clutch she smashed a large rat and has been a ferocious feeder ever since. The male on the other hand is a nice looking snake, however he is prone to biting. I was told that he gives no warning when he's about to bite but believe me he does. He softly rests his head on whatever body part he wants a taste of, slightly nudges then lightening fast just opens the mouth and slides over. He also hangs on for roughly 30 seconds every time. They are very inquisitive but my male seems to get a little more alert when he is about to have a chomp- almost erratic in his behaviour. What can i say he likes his food. The female is gentle and will sit on you for hours if you let her.
Fantastic animals.
Simone.

imo most are generally friendly snakes but are likely to try and eat you! never had an agressive bite from a woma and when they do bite its generally a feeding response. i personally think they are the best snakes you can get!!

Hi Cristina, the womas are well known for there placid nature I have encountered many in the wild & keep a small collection, I have never found an agressive one yet but like PJ64 states if they smell food & are hungry keep your hands away, they will try to eat anything that moves!
