Yellow faced whip snake

Isn't this guy cute. He was tiny, only about 150 cm. The guy who caught him wouldn't risk a bite. During the photo session he tried to escape and I blocked him with my hand. Proberly not a smart move as I don't know if I am allergic to either the venom or the serum. I was told off.

Anyhow he bolted again, I blocked again and the next thing I know was I had a venomous snake up my sleeve. I was told off.

The snake was returned to the "studio" and he bolt again, this time in the other direction and was blocked with a gloved hand.

Guess what.

The glove had a hole in it.
The snake made a bee line for the hole.

Geez man, don't hold it against the snake, a reptile enthusiast of all people should understand that Most of the herps who have been at it for quite a few years have taken some venom, and I can't recall anyone else complaining about it. I'm sure the snake wasn't too happy about you standing on it either. If you ever stand on me I'll bite you too.

Same here. But I'm sure you didn't do it intentionally, I was very lucky not to have done the same last year with a brown.
