    gentle education is working.....

I have a 20 month old stimmie and my neighbours 13 yr old daughter was terrified to even come into the room where I keep him, now after several months of looking at "Barrie" locked in his viv, I got him out the other day and the young lass actually came up and touched "Barrie". She's still quite nervous but admits she's not as afraid as she was, I'm hoping one day she'll want to hold him. I'm really pleased...........

We have done that with a few people who were afraid and thought the only good snake was a dead one. Most of them now look at snakes differently and see why they don't need to be killed on sight. A few friends are still afraid, but they won't get out the shovel now either. I explained a little about how good they are for the environment and it seemed to help.

One girl had never seen a snake close up before and was so fascinated by ours she forgot to be scared lol
Snakes are awesome creatures, even if they don't eat chocolate

I did the same with my mum and a beardie, she used to hate every reptile and now she's even starting to like pythons.

Aw man, I really shouldn't have skimmed this post instead of reading it properly, I definitely took it the wrong way.

    Congratulations and good job!

Me and my bredli boy have converted a few.

Such as an older woman who screamed and nearly burst out crying when she saw him, after about 3 minutes watching him she decided to stroke him, when didn't react at all (freakishly calm snake), she asked if she could have a hold, so she spent nearly 10 minutes having a cuddle, she absolutely fell in love She even kissed him goodbye

Last I saw was her going up to the counter asking how much licences cost
