Greyhound racing
Anybody into it, or even have their own dogs? Discuss!
If you are against it or whatever we dont want to hear it in this thread, i know a few people that keep them and they are treated very well.

Not really into it, I can watch my own dogs run around in circles for free

I would love to have a dishlicker though, such awesomely large, pointy, lazy dogs.Last edited by disintegratus; 03-Aug-12 at 03:46 PM. Reason: forgot the t

I grew up with greyhounds, we had 99 all up, ( not all at once ). we had about 8 at any one time. Us kids loved it. Fantastic animals !! When we go to the dogs now,It just takes me back to when I was a kid !! LOVE THEM !!

Fair point. The only reason I would be "against" greyhound racing is because of those who DON'T treat their dogs well, but I'm against pet owners who don't treat their dogs (or other pets for that matter) well, so it's a moot point.
My mate's husband used to be the track guy at Sandown, so I went there a couple of nights, for me it just wasn't as amazingly exciting as other people seemed to find it.

Its completly different going to the track to watch, as upposed to actually having dogs that are racing .. Like anything, If you have a vested interest......

my parents have one!! he just passed his performance trial (even though he fell over at the end haha) and is ready to start racing!
he is out of a very successful dog called "Daydream" who is owned and trained by my mums best friends, Brett and Deborah May. We called our dog "Cruisin About" because my parents are keen P&O and Queen Mary 2 cruisers!!
this is our first greyhound so we are very excited to see him race!
I love lamp.
