What type of people keep reptiles????

I have been asked this question for the last time.....
So, please help me answer it.

    All I am asking is:

*What do you do for a living???
    *Is it fulltime/parttime/shift work???
*Do you believe you are an "Average Joe"???

Because I tried to explain that many normal (semi-normal in my case)
    people have pet reptiles.

    Anyway I answer:
    *Computer Operator
    *Shift work
    *As normal as most people

But please, give me you views.

    Mark.

RE: What type of people keep reptiles????

I am a Business Develpoment Executive, Martial Artist and also fish. I also do Security on the weekends for extra cash. I am 26, married and keep herps due to my love and fascination with them. People think I am insane and crazy, but hey, who cares. Keeping Herps is one of my choices, and only my choice. There, hope that sort of answers your question.. Oh, and I am normal - sometimes!!!!!!!!

I'm going to follow in the same vein as Gregory here

I'm a fulltime draftsman for an engineering firm in Melbourne, my wife thinks I'm a freak because I love reps (particularly snakes )! Does that count?

I think I'm pretty down to earth and probably as close as you'd get to your average Joe

This piccy here says it all I feel

    I am 21, and I am a paver.
Full time when there is alot of people wanting some paving done around the house.
And I am very down to earth.
Alot of people (mostly family), think that I am strange because I keep pet snakes. I think their the strange ones for not having a love for them as myself.

What do i do for a living?I'm a landlord or property owner i guess you could say and i rarely do a thing so what class does that come under?
I'm pretty far from being an average Joe that's for sure, some say a bit of a nutter but i know i'm not a boring son of a gun
I've had a fascination for reptiles since i can remember and my family don't exactly feel as passionately about them as i do but they've had to live with it when i was growing up and now my nephew is quickly becoming a snake friek too, every time he comes over ,first thing he wants to do is go see the snakes and handle them. What gives me a kick and a bit of a laugh is he has his sort of favourite one and each time he sees him he says"isn't he just a beautiful little fella" hehe and he's 5 years old....my friends don't think i'm crazy and a few share the passion and don't think it unusual for me at ll that i keep them, always have, always will!!!

Just as I thought.... Different Jobs etc....
People that don't keep reptiles have some kind of strange idea that we are all the same.
Truth is there is no stereo type for a reptile keeper.
