    Worst part about owning pets

It's something we all know is going to happen with everything in life. But it is never easy when a pet dies.

Our family golden retriever died last night at the vets. She was a great dog, we had her for 13 years. The weird thing was opening the front door and her not standing there to greet use. Just a little sad. Here is a pic from a couple of weeks back.
    You will be missed sandy.

Yep....the saddest thing is definately when they die....what do they say, they go over the rainbow bridge. So very sorry for your loss.....they are members of the family, they often know us better than we know ourselves, they are often kinder to us than other people, they love unconditionally.....for me that particularly applies to dogs. Each time one of our dogs goes we say.....NO MORE....but we can't live without at least one. The house is too clean, too quiet and too dull without one....

RIP Sandy.....and deepest sympathy to you and your sorrowing family. xxxx
Life offers us many bed fellows....be careful whom you choose !!

Oh not cool. I know what u are saying tho. we had to put my folks dog down not long ago and every time i go over I still keep looking 4 her. But she was in pain and now she is in a better place. Even tho its tough I try and think of all the amazing times we had and that makes me smile!

Thanks everyone for your support. The worst bit is my parents have been on holidays in Fiji for 2 weeks they come back tonight. They don't know yet as we can't get in contact with them. It's not going to be a good home coming.

What a dear looking old dog. RIP Sandy. I lost my German Shepherd 12 months ago. Had him for 10 years. I still miss him. I have his collar in my garden.

The next saddest thing is watching dogs wait for their owners who have died, to come home. I have watched two movies recently - RED DOG and HACHI - A DOG'S TALE. Very sad movies for dog lovers. I bawled my eyes out, couldn't stop it.
