that is so fricken cute!

how big do these fellas grow? I've been interested in monitors for ages, but just don't think I've got the room. Would imagine they're fairly active and need a fairly big space

Thanks for the advice, I have been trying to keep him quite humid...

I have him on damp paper towels at the moment with shallow water bowls. Luckily I am on leave from work at the moment so able to spray him and the enclosure a few times a day too...

How long should I keep up the humidity?

McScribbles - They grow to about 60cm (max.) and females generally a bit smaller. Two thirds of that length is tail...I keep my adult pair in a 5x2x2 tank...I certainly wouldn't go smaller than 4x2x2, and the larger the better...

Monitors are very active and it's good to have some space for them to run around...

I have a smallish form of ackie, only growing to about 40cm TL.
They are fine in a 4x2, although I have mine in a 6'x18" currently and would love to move them outside.

Mags - I prefer to give mine a bit more space than is necessary as well - would love to put them in a large trough/tub in the garage, but then I can't really watch them so it's a hard decision to make. I think evenually they will go down there - just so active and want more room for them...
