amyae

Watched my amyae girl shed last night. She was bending her head around and grabbing the lifted bits in her teeth and actually peeling sections off like that. Just thought it was interesting that she pulled her shed off with her mouth. She's just about to lay too. yahoo!
The male has been cruising the enclosure vibrating his little knob tail in the red sand. I mentioned that in a post last year when I first saw it but didn't get any feed back, I'm thinking it's a male display/territory thing. That weird little tail has to have some purpose hey. Great to watch. They are very easily spooked though, are everybody elses the same way?

Very interesting, I can remember reading your post a while ago (before i was a member) on the male vibrating his tail in the sand. It would be good to know what its actual use is.
