Beardie enclosure pics

Took some pics (with my phone, sorry about quality) of my beardie enclosure after I had 'renovated' it yesterday. Has anyone else used lino on the floor of their enclosure? I was finding it hard to replace the newspaper all the time and though maybe lino would work. Since my OH works for a flooring company I got it for free, cut a few different pieces to size, now I can take one out and put in a different coloured one while I wash the other. I thought maybe it might be a little slippery, but they seem to get traction just fine. Since I work in a printing business, I made up the backing at work. Now I just have to get some more branches and I think it should look pretty good. (my babies thought so as well)

Cheers

i was going to do the same thing til i read that lino gives off toxic fumes when subject to heat, (on one of the american beardie sites), not sure if our lino is the same but you would think it would be...

i ended up using ceramic tile, easy to clean and looks like a rock platform.
cheers

oh really??? Thats a little worrying, would have to be very very hot though I suspect (as in burning) I mean its used in kitchens and laundrys under ovens and clothes dryers and stuff which get pretty hot. I will check with my OH since he knows all things flooring. As you can see from my pic, my heat lamp is quite high up, the lino barely even gets warm, but thanks for the heads up.

Cheers

Hello

Hello,

Alot of people use slate tiles, the textured type. It keeps their nails filed down plus, it is very easy to keep clean daily as well.
One thing, how many dragons are you housing together? Remember, after they get to be around 8-10 inches in length, they do much better if housed separately. You don't want them to start fighting or mate too early which can be dangerous to a female's health. Especially if you don't know the lineage of them, you don't want to inbreed them, either.
If you have 2 males, then they definately will fight.

Tracie
