| | | | Certainly looks plump! A very good chance she's carrying eggs I reckon. Can you pick her up and gently palpate (feel) the tummy - often you can feel the eggs inside.
Gorgeous animal and good luck!
Ha - I typed this before the last 2 picks dowloaded (bloody dialup!) I would say almost certainly gravid..
On my wish list for later this year I think - if you're successful Saz please let me know... seriously interested...

Saz; If you look closely at her stomach from the underside towards the back legs.
you should see a slight lump on either side closest each leg; especially if you gently put a little pleasure mid stomach with your thumb.
If she isn't gravid (which i believe she is); then i'd imagine she's had a huge feed; or has serious problems......you will observe a noticeable change in her feeding behaviour with an increase in her stomach size....it should be pretty easy to see she's gravid soon enough....Just some advice; keep the moisture and humidity levels up somewhat; a good mist spray in the morning's etc Also try to make sure she has a fair amount damp substraight and moist leaf litter in which she can lay...
Pretty easy to incubate eggs; heres a picture of one of the juv's last season taking it's first breath. Just incubated in the bottom of my cupboard 24-28 degree's give or take...good luck; stunning dragon's; which are really easy to keep; providing the setup's right. |

They are sprayed every morning, humidity kept between 80% and 100%, and are the coir peat is kept moist all the time. She didn't have a big feed directly beforehand, and has been getting bigger the last few weeks, so fingers crossed.
Love the pics, they look like tiny dinosaurs! |
