fat-tailed geckos

got my pair from danny on thurs, they are so cool, dont see them out much, have to go in after dark to get a good look at em, enjoy

depends, they are termite specialists so if they are eating crickets that makes it easy and if you have a ready supply of termites thats even better, hatchling will generally only eat termites and need to be weaned onto crickets by scenting the crickets with crushed termites. other then that housing is pretty easy, the like burrows that replicate spiderholes and as you can see i use red desert sand substrate, if you can get your hands on reptiles australia vol 2 issue 4 it has a section on them where i have got my info from.

i have handled them but only to transfer them into their enclosure, they are not overly skittish but are quite shy, i also keep bynoes geckos which will come out before lights go off, these guys are only out after lights out, saying that no geckos are good handlers, its ok to pick them up to move or for a quick pic but they are not like beardies

they look beautiful i want a pet gecko, probably a rough knob tail though. but all are very cute
