yeah just gap filler/expanda-foam.. when this stuff dried, i sprayed the wall up with spray adhesive then coloured it up with washed sydney sand and added different amounts of oxide in a seperate container to get different colours..

southern leaf tails don't need heating, although they are ontop of another enclosure which
is heated..

when you refer to oxide, where do you buy it from and how, is it in a tin or something and do you spray it on or paint or throw it with a spoon

Oxides can be bought from most hardware stores (got mine from bunnings). They are most commonly unsed to colour concrete/grout etc. Can be mixed in with adhesive (ie pond sealer, bondalll etc) or sprinkled over the top. heaps of shades.. blues/green/grey/brown/purple....

On;y about $5 to $10 for a small container

awesome! looks good... didnt have to coat it with anything to make it safe? well..assuming you didn't mention anything Im guessing the oxide isn't toxic...

Thanks for sharing... things like this always give ideas.

Hi ex1dic,
That's a great effect you have got there. Did you spray the foam directly onto the inside of the enclosure? Do you know if it is possible to make a background on a bench top and then cut it to size?
Paul.
