gecko a real grey colour

hey
i just looked at my smooth knobed gecko,and his a really gray colour,does this mean his gonna shed?

It could be,

Although had it been in the dark, sometimes a response to light can cause subtle colour changes. Is he constantly grey?

yeh he had been in his hide,iv just never seen him like this

i wish i could see it eat its own skin. do geckos go off food when before they shed, my dragons don't.

The seem to go ghosty looking and then shed.
