Green pooh???

Hey guys,

I have two bearded dragons about 2.5 months old. I have noticed over the last couple of days that there pooh has changed to a green colour.
Their diet at present is bok choy, meal worms and crickets.
Can anyone tell me if this is anything to worry about?

what goes in must come out....
there probably eating more veg than live
try to incease the live...NO MEALWORMS!!!, they cant digest it properly at this age
mine at this age ate woodies & earthworms
other variety of veg ...mix 2 dif greens & add a topping would help
eg; choy sum (leaves only).endive...with pumkin
pumkin, carrot i use a potatoe peeler...& cut to length of live that is appropriate for age(size of dragon)

I feed them crickets everyday, they love them. Feed them greens every 2nd day. This usually eat bok choy, sweet potato and carrots but this week i ran out. Mealworms every 2 days. I have feed them mini mealworms since they were babies and don't seem to have any problems with their digestion.
I did try something new this week and i think that is why there pooh changed colour. I brought some crickets but they were very small so i feed them up with vegies.
I have also tried woodies and earthworks but their not interested.
Question can you feed beardies cat or dog food. I remember seeing it on one of these forums.
What do you guys think??

Low sodium cat food occaisionally is fine for beardie. Mine get some about once a fortnight. I look for a low sodium chicken and veg variety. Dog food is generally higher in sodium and had far too much protien.

You may chose not to Dragon Lady but other people do. It is all a matter of choice after aquiring all the relevant information.

Katie25 dont panic. All beardies do green poo after eating veg. Its a normal and healthy thing.

dog food is for dogs, cat food is for cats.

If you want to use something else get some rep cal bearded dragon pellets, theyre great to have on hand incase the insects run out, you can either soak them in water and add them to salads or grind them up and sprinkle them over the top....mine love eating the mush from the end of a feeding syringe.
another bonus is u wont have a stinky can of pet food going off in teh fridge,....

i agree with no meal worms for another couple of months, the chitin shell is too hard for the youngens to digest and could cause impactions.

offer salads daily too,...just fro something to nibble on during the day.
