id please

just wondering if anyone has any idea what this little guy is .
he was nearly squashed in my lizard tank lid the other day
so i put him aside and gave him food he seems friendly?

wondering also if he might be someones but he has escaped?

far enough do they like lots of water cause i am taking it tomorrow to release in a safe area as there are too many dogs and cats around my house
i was going to take it up to this local quiet park i know there is alot of different reptiles there
good idea to let him go near water or not

yes, they are usually only found in or around water, drains, pools ect.

best not to take them more than a km or so from where found
