Everybody has a difference of opnion and what some of think as nice, others hate, but if you put a Jag beside a coastal and said which one do you like, how many people do you really think are going to pick the coastal? Very few I can gaurantee you. I also keep a native collection like Herpies, but if ever day came where I could have ball pythons and rainbow boas I would have them without question, along side of my native stuff as well.

Cheers
Daz

Your second post was about pure exotics. Nothing to do with your first post. She was talking about the more natural way the hobby is going in this country as averse to the way the hobby has gone in the states.

I only keep natives, as that is all that is available, but if laws were introduced i would go gangbusters on exotics, cottonmouths, balls, Boelins, whitelips, angolans, the list goes on.... comments putting international herps down are the extremely shallow. We have beautiful animals here, thats for sure, but as a herper if you cant see outside your blinkers, then your missing the bigger picture.

Now I see others have jumped on the same mentality.... if the land on which a reptile is born is the only thing that allows you to find it attractive in any way, then you really need to check your head, and look deeper into your love of reptiles and/or your racist tendencies.
lol keep your pants on Was merely stating that we do indeed have an awesome array of natives right here, didn't say other species aren't as good or bad, simply said "I PREFER" the aussie natives, my personal preference, not that I think they are the best animals ever and all the other species in the world are worthless, in fact I LOVE ALL the other species of snakes out there not native to Oz, geez man ease up

Does anyone think that eventually exotics will be imported over for personal use?

That's the best sentence I've read on this forum. Can I use that as my mew sig?

When saying that I wish we could have exotics sometimes I didn't think that people would take it like that.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Australian snakes, especially Tiger Snakes. But there are still some snakes and other reptiles that would be nice to have, like Eyelash Vipers or Crested Geckos.
