Japan

I visited japan back in september 07, and snapped a few pictures of reptiles in petshops and in the wild. I had trouble uploading pics, but now recently that ive got it working again, i thought i'd throw a few photos up.

I couldnt imagine much wildlife being over there seems they eat nearly anything that moves

I guess, i couldn't really ask them though lol. Those pics from the shop were in a gigantic petshop that had a display case with people holding dogs and a huge section of fish and hamsters etc. The reptile and insects were just in a smallish room lol. So they mightn't be as big over there.

Any one know what sort of snake that is, looks pretty cool.

Were you in quite an city/urban area or rural?

Because them not being very environmentally friendly (like the pollution, I know they protect their endangered animals, Well in china they do, dont know about Japan) I thought that you would have to go miles into the bush to see something.

That snake was found on a pathway in a back road of a island, it was heavily populated There were monkeys in the trees around us there, they were to quick for pictures though.

I dont remember the name of the island, but i have a picture looking from it back to the mainland.
I also attached a pic of a similar road where the snake was found.

They have deer everywhere too lol. They come up for a pat and everything

Which snake lol ?


I can tell you that the second snake is a corn snake, and i think the first snake is a ball python but that is just a guess .
