The little bub is really cute and seemed to get used to me on the same night I bought her, although all she did was sleep she didn't want to get off my hand into the enclosure at the end of the night, clingy little thing .
I've got a 4 foot tank and I had to make the hood as the one I had existing was falling apart and wouldn't really suit my needs anyway so I put it together with two pieces of hardwood to hold up the hood on the tank and tacked some flywire to the underside of the hood(although I will have to get stronger wire now I realize just how weak this stuff is).
I made a fake rock platform out of polystyrene with ledges and stairs and even a cubby house cutting out slots for the pieces of poly to fit into, then I used expandable foam for the joins and finally grouted the whole thing with a few coats of grout before I painted it a nice reddish-brown colour. It looks really good, I was happy with the result. It was made using the link on one of the threads on this site, very good link if you search for fake rock platform.
I've got a UVA/UVB reflector light shooting UV on to the top walkway on the platform and a 75W normal lamp for heating (although this will have to be moved as it's making the heat on the stairs too high) and a 60W heat emitter (which might have to be swapped for a 100W). These are being held up temporariry with fishing line though the mesh until I work out a permanent spot for the lights. If you look hard into the pics of the cubby you can see a ladder leading up to a hole at the bottom of the cubby, you will often see the beardie sticking his head out of these holes, unfortunately I havent taken a pic of this yet though.
I also took some pics of the dragon riding one of my turtles pearl, I don't think pearl appreciated being 'ridden' but the dragon seemed to be enjoying him/herself and it made for a couple of cool pics. So here is my pics of the new dragon and his/her castle, any recommendations for the enclosure and/or names for the little dragon, a name normally takes a while for me, thanks for looking,
Thanks a lot to MissB too, the beardie looked well looked after and I'm really happy with her, |

It only needs a hot spot up one end of about 40deg, the other end can be cool. I'm pretty sure a 75w will do it, if not, 100w will. Have you checked the temps with a thermometer and are you using a thermostat?

Yeah I've checked temps with a thermometer on the stairs it's nearly 50 degrees so I'll have to move the light so it's not so hot, I haven't got a thermostat yet, it's on the list though, do you know any good ones? |

Thanks MissB, I think she's settled in too much, always hiding somewhere in the castle. Btw I know it's not suggested that crickets be thrown in to the enclosure with the beardies but is it alright to put a few in, my beardie hasn't been very keen on feeding the last couple of days, thanks | | |
