hey all,
i have a male spotted python...and he was...a good little snake, i have started to cool for breeding and now and hes gone super agressive...has this got something to do with him protecting my female??????????

hes got a good set of teeth on him now LOL!!!

ummm.. it is probably because of the female but it could also be because of lack of handeling.. do you handle him often?

yeh id have to say that the aggression would come from the female.. i mean it would be like a male would fight off another male for the female so it would probably be due to the female.. its probably best not to handel them so much then because this is the mating time for childrens, spotties but seperation would be good for a few days at a time..

lol yeh you hope so ;-).. umm what i would do is take out one snake for as long as you cacn ( i could hold me diamond for ours going) then put them together and see what happens or put it in a spare container for the day ect.. or dont sepertate but make sure you witness them mating cause i dont know what happens when seperation hasnt been done..

Luke1 - I wouldn't bother seperating them if you don't usually...I think your animals are far more likely to stress if moved to a new enclosure during this time. They live together all the time - leave them together and see how you go...

Your little fella has hormones pumping through his system at the moment - thats why he's also all over your girl - this is the likely explanation...
